Who and What We Are

The Evangelical Free Church of Singapore is an association of churches joined together in bonds of love for the purpose of developing and maintaining ministries best accomplished by mutual cooperation. The focal point of these ministries is the evangelization of lost humanity and the edification of believers.

We are a denomination in that we have distinctives and commonalities that give cohesiveness to our movement. However, we do not have a hierarchy that rules over local churches. Each Church is self-governing body that elects its own officers, raises its own budget, provides its own building, call its own pastor, and shapes its own program. These local Free Churches have in common certain purposes, principles, and practices that give them a basis for co-operation, and they recognize that there are certain things that they can do in concert which they could not accomplish on their own.
